Chief Minister Chandrasekhara Rao hikes wages of Asha workers

Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao today announced that the hike of salary of Asha workers to Rs.6,000pm in the State.

He said that the hike will come into effect from this month onwards. He said that they are now being paid in between Rs.1,000 to Rs.1,500pm. He assured that they will be taken to the level of Anganwadi workers. Priority would be given to those who were educationally qualified and trained in the appointments of ANM posts recruitment. Those who did other courses will be given postings in health department, he said.

The Chief Minister heard the problems and representations from them who arrived at Pragati Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s camp office.
