IT Park to come up at Mancherial soon

June 18, 2017

The proposed IT Park at Mancherial will give job opportunities for about 2500 Engineering students besides giving exemption in regard to power usage and VAT imposition. Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (TASK) will be the partner to impart necessary skills. The park will boost the real estate, hospitality and other ancillary sectors in the region. About Rs. 20 crores will have to be spent to bring the IT Park to light.

The proposed IT Park will shift the focus away from the concentric Ranga Reddy and Hyderabad areas and is in like to make Telangana a reliable destination for IT firms. Warangal and Karimnagar are two major Tier-II cities that have seen rapid progress after the IT policy of the Government was released. The need for Government intervention in development of IT parks arose because most other towns have failed to attract IT entrepreneurs and corporations. It may be recalled that Minister for IT, Municipal Administration and Urban Development K Taraka Rama Rao has inaugurated the first its kind IT Hub in Khammam on June 15.

The Mancherial district headquarters is the first of the four important placed being selected for shifting the focus away from Hyderabad and Rangareddy.
