India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad

The India Meteorological Department, Hyderabad centre maintains 29 surface observatories (17 departmental and 12 part-time), 4 pilot balloon observatories, 3 Radiosonde/Rawin observatories, 5 Agricultural observatories, 35 Automatic Weather Stations, 64 Automatic Rain Gauges and 460 Rain Gauge stations managed by State Governments.

The Hyderabad meteorological centre, on March 10, has warned that Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas are likely get a spell of rain or thundershowers over the next few days. Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely across Telangana.
